Aphasia
Aphasia is a loss of language ability resulting from stroke or injury to the brain. It can make speaking, understanding language, reading, and writing challenging. Our experienced team works closely with each client and their family to create a customized therapy plan. We use evidence-based therapy techniques to help our clients meet their communication goals and improve their quality of life. Whether you are seeking individual therapy, home practice resources, or caregiver education, we are here to support your journey toward improved communication!

Cognitive-Communication Disorders
Cognitive communication skills include various components, such as memory, attention, executive functioning, organization, and problem solving. These skills may be impacted by traumatic brain injury, concussion, stroke, or neurological conditions (e.g., dementia, ALS). Our adult speech therapy services focus on helping you recover and strengthen these skills. We will also teach you personalized compensatory strategies to meet your needs. Our goal is to help you live more independently and confidently, so you can fully participate in whatever activities you choose.

Social Communication
Young adulthood presents new social communication opportunities, such as joining the workforce and navigating different social relationships (e.g., romantic, co-workers). We know it can also be challenging to find the right speech-language therapy for adults. Our dedicated team is specially trained to help young adults understand and implement the social communication and self-advocacy skills needed to achieve their personal goals. Our individualized social communication services may be appropriate for autistic young adults and those with related social communication differences. Young adults with social communication challenges may also benefit from our PEERS® for Young Adults group.

Accent Modification
Accents are natural variations in the way we speak, and we believe they should be embraced! They are an integral part of one’s identity and culture. While no accent is better or worse than another, one’s accent may impact communicative effectiveness. Speech-language therapy for adults can help. Accent modification is an elective service that supports people with accents in modifying their speech patterns to improve their intelligibility and communicate more effectively.
